Kerry Washington covers the latest issue of emmy magazine – which will be available soon. But in a recent interview with AwardsLine via Deadline, the “Scandal’” actress was asked about the significance of possibly earning an Emmy for her TV role as Olivia Pope:
“I’ve been on the award campaign train several times in my career, with the success of The Last King Of Scotland and Ray and Django Unchained. Jamie Foxx and I joke about it, what happens to people when they’re “chasing Oscar.” So I try not to think about my work leaning toward that goal. But it’s interesting that television and the Emmys have been around this long, and (a black woman winning a lead drama actress Emmy) has never happened. I was just beginning to have a career when Halle Berry (won a best actress Oscar)—and not just (as the first) black woman, but a woman of color.”

After welcoming his first child with fiancee Lilit Avagyan last month Reggie Bush celebrated his first father’s day by posting a photo on Instagram with his adorable baby girl, Briseis.
“Enjoying my first Father’s Day with my family! #blessed,” he wrote.
How cute is she?! – and she’s smiling too. awww.
In a recent interview, the Lions Runningback revealed what it was like seeing his baby girl for the first time: he said, “I was nervous, I was excited, I was scared, I was happy. Every emotion possible was running through me. And then you’re like, ‘I can’t believe this is my baby.’ It was really emotional when I was first holding her.”

Tamar Braxton and hubby Vince Herbert have revealed the name of their new bundle of joy: Logan Vincent.
The “Love & War” singer who gave birth on June 6, took to social media and revealed the news and shared a black and white photo of baby holding his music executive father’s finger.
“Happy Father’s Day to the love of my life, my best friend, my husband Vincent Herbert! Our son Logan Vincent Herbert & I are proud to share this day with you!! We love you soooooo much!!” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Tamar will be back on her grind soon, she has joined the cast of an upcoming talk show called ‘The Real’ on FOX starting July 15. Read more about it here.

After beating Russia’s Maria Sharapova in straight sets to win her 2nd French Open and 16th grand slam title, Serena Williams enjoys a day off at the beach with her gal-pals in Miami yesterday (June 15).
“A day off. At the beach. #sohohouse #Miami,” she tweeted.
The 31-yr-old, 5-foot-9, 155-pound athlete who is gearing up to compete at Wimbledon in two weeks, recently told ESSENCE magazine about her body including working out and her famous booty.
“It can be a bit weird,” she admits. “Before it was, ‘Serena has a big butt,’ and that was all. Now there are way more people who feel comfortable with themselves and they’re saying, ‘I’m a woman, and this is what I look like.’ I always say, ‘We’re popular now! We’re finally in style!’”
On what part of her workout she enjoys and dreads the most: “I love when it’s over. I do not like working out. When I’m done, I can’t believe I did it.”
