Its official, Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp are a couple.
The twosome were spotted in New York City on Wednesday afternoon (Jan 5).
Rumors of Ryan & Mellencamp relationship sparked over the weekend when the “Top Gun” actress and the newly single rocker spent New Year’s together in the Big Apple.
The news comes less than a week after Mellencamp’s spokesperson announced that the singer had split from his wife of 18 years, but insiders claim the couple had already parted ways when the rocker reportedly first stepped out with Ryan in November.

Newly engaged couple Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson were photographed out strolling the streets of Aspen, Colorado on Friday afternoon (Dec 31).
The twosome held hands, bundled up and enjoyed a romantic stroll in the snowy weather.
Clearly excited to have a new beau, Jessica tweeted earlier this week, “I’m so grateful this holiday season! Eric is the perfect addition to our family. We all stayed at my parents on Christmas Eve. We are lucky to have three new studs in the fam: Pete, BX, and EJ!” More >

Elton John and husband David Furnish were spotted doing some last-minute holiday shopping at Barneys New York and Neiman Marcus over the weekend.
In other news the couple are now parents of a baby boy! - Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born on Christmas day in California via surrogate and weighed 7 pounds, 15 oz. Us Weekly reports.
In a joint statement the said “We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment, Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents.”

Actress Tasha Smith recently walked down the aisle to say, “I do” to entrepreneur Keith Douglas.
The couple announced their engagment six months ago and decided on an intimate ceremony with just the two of them at their Los Angeles home earlier this month.

“We discussed having a small wedding with close family and friends, but instead, we decided to hold a very simple, intimate ceremony with just us and our pastor,” said Smith. “We prayed about it and it just felt right for us. It was a beautiful, blessed moment that we will remember forever. We’re thankful to God to end the year on such a high note. It’s exciting!” Tasha tells Essence
The “Why Did I Get Married” actress next movie hits theaters May 2001 called “Jumping the Broom” co-starring Paula Patton and Angela Bassett.

Two years ago, her then husband of 14 years, legendary producer Mutt Lange, left her for her best friend Anne Thiebaud. Today, Shania is engaged to Frederic Thiebaud, the ex husband of her then best friend Anne.
