Iggy Azalea denies bashing Nicki Minaj
Iggy Azalea recently took to twitter to deny dissing Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album.
During a recent interview, the Australian rapper was quoted as saying Nicki’s album was ”very rigid” and it wasn’t “dynamic” enough.
In a series of tweets, Iggy clarified her comments:
“FYI. i never critized nicki minajs album, “digital spy” and Robert Copsey can kiss my pretty white asshole for trying to pull that shit,” Iggy tweeted. “i specifically said that nothing was meant in a negative way and that i LIKED and was a fan of the album, but of course, of course… that gets left out. All i said was that i think you can tell the difference between “commercial” or “pop” sounding songs and then “really rap” sounding ones.and that i think there is a huge difference in the two sounds for her. i never said either was bad or that it was a bad thing.” More >

Nicki Minaj graces the cover of Teen Vogue [Photos]

Nicki Minaj is featured on the 2013 June/July issue of teen VOGUE. Here’s the ‘American Idol’ judge had to share.
On the music industry being a lot like high school: “People treat this business like it’s high school,” she tells Teen Vogue. “It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest, and you know what? I can’t be bothered. I can’t allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry. I can’t be nice to someone just because they’re hot right now. I can’t do it.”
On changing schools a lot growing up: “Every time my parents fought, my mother would have us move and I would have to go to a new school, which meant I’d have to face the task of making new friends. I dreaded it. I had butterflies in my stomach each time: Are people going to like or hate me? … Sometimes there’d be a fight, sometimes not. I let people know I wasn’t going to be pushed around.”
On getting discovered on MySpace: “My journey to who I am today began on MySpace,” she says. “I love getting real opinions from people.”
On not dwelling on people’s negative opinion: “I used to read the bad things people said about me,” says Minaj, a regular on Twitter. “Then I asked myself, ‘Why am I reading that when I have millions of people saying great things?’ You cannot give negativity power. I tell teens, if you’re having a problem, there’s nothing wrong with deleting your social media. If people keep taunting you and you keep reading it, it’s poison.”
