First Lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha Obama had lunched with Spain’s King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofia and Princess Letizia, today at the royal summer residence on the Balearic island of Majorca….
The Obamas flew into the Majorcan capital of Palma from the swanky Mediterranean resort of Marbella to attend the last engagement in Spain before flying back to the US.
15 million people in Pakistan affected by Intense Flooding

As an Army helicopter in the Muzaffargarh district of Pakistan’s Punjab province distribute food to the Marooned flood victims, many of them were looking to escape by grabbing the side bars of a hovering helicopter.
SOOMRA PANHWARI, Pakistan (AFP) – Torrential rains frustrated aidefforts in Pakistan Saturday, with some helicopters grounded as authorities battled to help 15 million people affected by the country’s worst ever floods.
Military rescue workers were rushing to evacuate families in the poor farming belt of Sindh province, where disaster officials were on red alert for a major deluge that could burst the banks of the swollen Indusriver.
Fresh downpours hammered northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province where some helicopter services ferrying aid were suspended until the bad weather subsided, although forecasters said there would be at least two days of more rain.
“The situation is bad, particularly in the Swat valley, and we have advised people in low-lying areas to vacate their homes as river water levels are rising,” said Adnan Ahmed, a provincial official…. read more here
Bernie Mac’s widow Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Rhonda McCullough, the wife of the late comedian Bernie Mac has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Chicago against the late comedian’s longtime doctor, dermatologist Rene M. Earles.
Rhonda alleges that a few weeks before Mac’s 2008 death, Dr. Earles didn’t recognize indications of respiratory failure and kept her husband at the clinic for several hours rather than call an ambulance.
“Earles denies the claims saying he treated Mac that day and he appeared weak, with a low-grade fever and a rash. He says after Mac told him another doctor had given him an injection for a cold, he called Mac’s doctor and was told Mac had been diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. He says he immediately advised Bernie Mac to go to a hospital and that Mac was taken to one in a chauffer-driven vehicle.”
So sad.

American Idol favorite judge Simon Cowell and his make-up artist fiancee Mezghan Hussainy were spotted on jet skis in the Italian town of Portofino.
The happy couple have been cruising the Mediterranean on a luxury yacht all week but decided to get in the water to attract some attention from tourist & the locals…. it must be nice!
…And here is another TV judge you probably love to hate or love to love – Piers Morgan, The British TV host and Americas Got Talent Judge was spotted at I need some attention Ivy Restaurant with his wife – everyone in Hollywood knows that if for any reason you need a paparazzi-snap-shot just go to this Restaurant and you’re 150% guaranteed to be on the blogs and the tabloids… like duh, you’re on my blog Piers, congratulations..hehe! – Anyway, Morgan just signed a deal with CNN for about $10million and renewed his three-year deal with NBC, home to his show America’s Got Talent… and rich people need more money right? this is so depressing… moving on…
American Idol judge Randy Jackson was spotted out with friends in LA yesterday – YO-DUDE, I see you’re gaining the weight back? -Well, in 2003 the 54-year old producer had gastric bypass surgery and lost lots and lots of weight but it looks like he’s loosing the battle.
Jackson once said, ‘The struggle continues. It never ends. I am not some trainer with a half-percentage of body fat – I am a real guy dealing with obesity…I am the guy who knows what it’s like to be walking around with 100 extra pounds…Food was always my thing, because I grew up in the South where food and good times were king.’
I can understand the struggle Randy, but some of that money you’re making from ABDC & Idol can’t be utilize towards a personal trainer, dietician & a Chef?…just a simple question dawg!

Haitian hip-hop star Wyclef Jean greeted crowds of cheering supporters in the downtown area of Port-au-Prince after registering his intention to run in the November 28 election.
It was recently reported via The Smoking Gun that the rapper personally owes $2.1m in unpaid taxes – PLUS his charity Yele Haiti were previously called into question with allegations of fraud and misappropriation after $400,000 from the foundation was reportedly used to pay rent for properties owned by the musician and for massive fees for his own musical performances at events staged by the charity.
During his interview with CNN after his registration, Wycleff said he felt as though he had been ‘drafted’ by the Haitian people to give them ‘a piece of the dream that I got in America.’ -
But not everyone is jumping on his bandwagon – Actor Sean Penn, who have been quite active in Haiti said:
I’m not accusing Wyclef Jean of being on opportunist. I don’t know the man.
‘But I think it’s extremely important that we pay great attention to both the individuals in the United States who are enamored with him, maybe not for his political strengths, and in particular for corporate interests that are enamored with him, and those that may themselves be opportunists on the back of the Haitian people.
‘One of the reasons I don’t know very much about Wyclef Jean is I haven’t seen or heard anything of him in these last six months that I’ve been in Haiti.
‘I see in Wyclef Jean somebody who could well have been influenced by the promise of support from companies.’

This is Caroline Giuliani, she is daughter of former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani – Despite having more than $300 in cash, Caroline was caught stealing more than $100 worth of cosmetics from the Sephora store in Manhattan, NY – The store manager called the cops but decided not to press charges against the thief after they found out Rudy Giuliani was her father…. I guess it pays to have a famous last name – I’m sure if that was Dante or LaQuanda or Shanequa, they probably would not have been that lucky… SMH! – Caroline was lead away in handcuffs and later left the 19th precinct offices with her mother Donna Hanover.
Hey ya’ll – meet Richard Hilfiger aka Rich Hil – That last name needs no introduction, but 20-yr-old Rich-Hil, the son of Tommy Hilfiger was caught with a ‘hefty stash’ of drugs on the famous Sunset Boulevard in California Sunday, August 1- He was arrested and booked on one felony count of possession of marijuana for sale. Dude spent the night in jail before a $20k bail was posted the next day…
OK – I’m shaking my head because apparently these kids have NO idea how privilege and fortunate they are – I mean if my family had their money *I’m gaging here* – *still gaging …. hold on… I can’t stop gaging
