Esperanza Spalding signs copies of her new album “Radio Music Society” at the J&R Music World on March 23, in New York City.
If you’re in the NYC area and would love to see the Grammy award winning artist live, she will be playing an intimate free show at the Apple Store on 14th street on March 26, 8:00 p.m.
You’ll need to pickup wristbands on the morning of the show, so plan accordingly. Get more details at Apple’s website.

Michelle Obama made a guest appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman” last evening March 19.
During her interview, the First Lady discussed how she learned from her parents the notion of unconditional love… She said she and the president try to instill that stability in their own two daughters. Lady O also talked about the importance of family and told Letterman about her father. “My father had multiple sclerosis. I never knew him to be able to walk, but my dad worked so hard and he loved us so much, and I think from him I learned just absolute, complete unconditional love, the notion that kids really don’t need anything but to know that their parents adore them… We had rules, we had boundaries, but there wasn’t anything my dad wouldn’t do for us, and, uh–don’t make me cry. Maya who will be presenting during tonight’s ceremony, wore a plum Johanna Johnson dress and Casadei shoes. The Bridesmaids actress accessorize with Neil Lane jewels and Salvatore Ferragamo bag.
Musician Esperanza who will perform during the ceremony, kept it simple and elegant in a baby blue strapless ballgown. She rocked her beautiful fro and her only accessory was a bracelet. Both ladies looked great – enjoy the photos below.

Justin Bieber met Esperanza Spalding after he lost the award to the jazz musician.
Bieber admits he was disappointed when he didn’t win the best new artist award at Sunday’s Grammys.
“I had no clue what was going to happen; I worked really hard these past few years and you know, I’m not going to lie — I was disappointed,” the teen pop star told MTV News, “But, you know, I’m gonna come back [next year] and we’ll take a few home.”
Overall Justin was thrilled with the night saying:
“I got a standing O, which was amazing,” he smiled. “Usher and Jayden did incredible, and I’m really excited. Tonight was an amazing night.”
“I’m inspired to work harder than I did last year,” he said. “It’s going to be hard, but I’m going to try.”
And before he left, he had one last message for all his die-hard fans out there:”Bieber fans, don’t get too upset,” he laughed. “Be happy.”
Both Justin and Esperanza met for the first time backstage. They traded compliments: “I like your hair, you hair is so cool” he said. She replied, “I like your hair, everybody likes your hair”
The twosome hugged it out with Justin being a true gentleman saying, “I’m happy for you.”
