50 Cent Delivers Meals to Somali Refugee Camp As Part Of ‘Street King’ Pledge!
Looks like fifty is putting his money, effort and time where his mouth is!!
The rap star and actor flew to the Somali town of Dolo along the Ethiopian border to visit a refugee camp run by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights
At the camp, 50 Cent was able to see first hand the effects of hunger in Somalia and Kenya.
“To meet those kids was so inspiring, they have nothing, yet they are so positive and optimistic. I want to do my part so they get food and an education. I hope more people will join me to help end this devastating situation,” he said.
Few months ago, 50 set a goal of delivering a billion meals through the UN World Food Programme as part of his fundraising drive from sales of his new energy drink StreetKing.
Willow Smith teams up with Target & Treat Families to a Holiday Shopping Spree
Today at a Target store in Harlem, Willow Smith surprised eight families from the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club with a free holiday shopping spree.
The 11-yr-old entertainer, who recently released her new video “Fireball” with Nicki Minaj, cheered on the families as they ran through the store and grabbed up to $1000 of goods in their 16 shopping carts.
“It’s been awesome because Target is one of my favorite stores. And it’s just awesome to share that with the kids and be there for them.” Willow said about the good deed
Her new album “Knees and Elbows” is scheduled to be released in April. “Everybody falls down and scrapes their knees and elbows but they eventually get back up,” Willow said.

Jay-Z to Headline Carnegie Hall for Charity!
Sean Carter aka Jay-Z, announced today Dec 8, that he will headline two shows at Carnegie Hall on Feb. 6 and 7, benefitting the United Way of New York City and Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.
The mogul will be the first solo Hip Hop act to play at the historic venue ever, according to Clive Gillinson, Carnegie Hall’s executive and artistic director. Wylcef Jean performed at there in 2001 with Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton and Whitney Houston.
“I want to do my part to make sure everyone has an opportunity,” Jay-Z said at the press conference today. “It’s really a shame when someone has drive and really wants to further their education, and they’re unable to because of their financial situation.”
“We know we’re going to raise some money and help some people,” he continued, “But we’re also going to raise the profile of what I’m doing.”
Tickets will go on sale Monday and at the price range of $500 to $2,500 apiece. Tickets for the general public will begin January 30th.
