Last year at the same Gala, Janelle Monae wore a custom Chanel tuxedo-esque outfit complete with a top hat, but last night May 7 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2012 Costume Institute Gala in New York City, the singer soften things up a-bit by wearing a black silk “pants suit that was embellished at the waist.”
The “Tightrope” singer completed her stunning look with earrings and clutch to match.

“Just driving through the city and I see a few things I hate…,” Kanye tweeted on Saturday. “I hate button up shirts with hoods. I hate hoods with sport coats. I hate sport coats with button up shirts, jeans and dress shoes.”
He continued, “I hate khaki trench coats with jeans and off brand work out sneakers. I hate khaki cargo shorts. I hate big ass striped scarves. I hate long ass sideburns with line up RnB beard.”

“It’s only fun when I can do it with the love of my life!!;-),” the Grammy winning singer tweeted.
“On way to MET BALL with the Queen oh yes we’re Busy body’s ,” the mega producer added.
