Robin Roberts is such a breath of fresh air on “Good Morning America,” that fans, viewers and co-workers will miss her when she takes an ”extended medical leave” to prepare for a bone marrow transplant.

Back in July, the Morning Show Anchor announced that she has MDS, a rare blood and bone marrow disorder and needed a transplant. Thankfully, she will be receiving a transplant from her sister, who is a perfect match.

Earlier today, Robin confirmed that this week will be her last before checking into the hospital next tuesday, Sept 4, “to begin the process.” – Watch the video here
