Solange Knowles invites ELLE magazine to her top-floor brownstone apartment in Brooklyn, NY recently.

I’m surprised she lives in Carroll Gardens and not Fort Greene!!

For the September 2012 issue, the 26-yr-old entertainer hosted a party and invited the mag for a first hand look.

“I had a moment when I looked at my closet and I was like, ‘Whoa, I really don’t have any basics,’” Knowles told the publication about her eclectic taste. “And with my house, I wanted to find a balance of having great colors and patterns but also a really livable, warm, serene space.”
