Rosie O’Donnell revealed she suffered a heart attack last week and is currently recovering at home.

The former TV host shared the news on her personal blog and credited her survival to Bayer aspirin and Internet research.

Rosie recounts how she helped an “enormous woman struggling to get out of her car” while running errands. Hours later, her body was hurting and she felt “an ache in my chest, both my arms were sore everything felt bruised.”

The following day, Rosie said she visited a cardiologist and realized the problem was much more serious. “the dr did an EKG and sent me to the hospital where a stent was put in my LAD was 99% blocked, they call this type of heart attack the Widow maker - i am lucky to be here.”
