The highly promoted hour long interview with Oprah and Rihanna aired last night on OWN network, Aug 19.

The media mogul traveled to the entertainer’s hometown of Barbados for an honest, raw and emotional sit-down for Oprah’s Next Chapter.

During the interview, Rihanna talked about her journey from a fresh-off-the-boat island girl to global superstar. Among other things discussed were her tumultuous childhood, handling the loneliness of fame and her relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Kudos to Oprah for asking all the right questions and to Rihanna for being so honest and vulnerable.
