After his arrest on domestic violence charge involving his new wife last evening, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has been cut from the Miami Dolphins team.

“The Miami Dolphins have terminated the contract of WR Chad Johnson,” the team announced via twitter

Earlier today the NFL Wide Receiver was release from jail after he was arrested and held on $2500 bond for head-butting Evelyn Lozado at their home.

Chad was charged with simple domestic battery and was ordered to have no contact with his reality  TV star wife. 

The couple got married last month and documented their nuptials for a new VH1 show “Chad & Ev” – slated to premier Sept 3.
