Cissy Houston’s First Interview Since Whitney’s death [Video]
A grieving Cissy Houston is speaking publicly for the first time since the passing of her superstar daughter Whitney Houston on Feb 11.
In a TV interview with New Jersey-based My9‘s 10 O’Clock News airing next Monday, the 78-yr-old gospel singer breaks from rehearsing for the upcoming Gospelfest at New Hope Baptist Church, where Whitney’s funeral was held and talks to Brenda Blackmon.
“[There’s] nothing I can do about it. There’s nothing nobody else can do about it,” she said sadly. “If I thought I could do something to bring her back, that’s exactly what I’d do, but I know that’s impossible.”
Whitney died at the Beverly Hills Hilton on Feb 11, the day before the Grammys. Last week, a coroner’s report, listed the singer’s official cause of death as “drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.”
The exclusive interview will air in part tomorrow night and on Monday night.
