Authorized Documentary on Bob Marley’s Life Set for 4/20 Release!

As fans, friends and family celebrate Bob Marley’s birthday today, reports surfaced that a documentary, titled Marley, will be released in U.S theaters on April 20 or 4/20.
The reggae music icon who would have turned 67 years old today died of cancer at age 36 in 1981.
Deadline reports that Magnolia Pictures and VH1 have bought the US rights to the documentary, which will have its world premiere at Germany’s upcoming Berlin International Film Festival on Feb 9.
Ziggy Marley, son of the legend will serve as executive producer, “this documentary is the ultimate revelation of my father’s life. The family is proud to be able to have the world finally experience this emotional journey.”
Directed by Kevin Macdonald, the documentary focuses on the life and music of the iconic reggae artist.
