Earl Simmons aka DMX was ordered to stay in prison for another week after authorities allegedly caught him with drugs.

The rapper was set to be released from his Arizona correctional facility on Wednesday, after serving seven months for a probation violation.

According to TMZ, DMX’s prison release has been postponed after law enforcement officials discovered he had been sneaking drugs into jail. In addition, he has broken a number of rules over the past month, including drug possession, failing or refusing a drug test, smoking in an unauthorized area, acting disrespectfully to the staff and engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct.

His new release date is July 19. A representative for the Yuma state prison declined to specify what type of drugs were found on the rapper.

The troubled rapper has been prepping for the release of his 7th studio album, “Redemption of the Beast,” - slated for late this year release.
