During the sit-down, the tennis champ, shares her excitement for the Summer Olympics, “I’ve been playing and working towards it, so I think I will make it… I hope I will… As a tennis player all your life you think about winning Wimbledon, or winning the U.S Open, or winning like Grand Slams, and you never think you could be mentioned among the greats like Michael Johnson, or all these other athletes that won Olympic Gold Medals.”

50 Cent is “Felling Better” After Surgery

Here’s an update on 50‘s mysterious illness, that left him hospitalized.
Yesterday, the entrepreneur/rapper tweeted a photo with a caption. “I’m feeling better today I think I’m gonna get out of the hospital soon. EMINEM called me last night I love him that’s my boy.”
Here’s what MTO is reporting: “50 cent had a blockage in his small intestine, and the doctors believed that the best way to CLEAR IT . . . is to remove a piece of 50′s colon… doctors managed to clear the blockage, using a much less invasive procedure. Doctors used an endoscope to stretch out 50′s colon, and open up the closed portion of his small intestine.”
“The use of an endoscope is a common surgical procedure, it’s inserted into the colon and used to stretch it out. No incisions are made on the patient. The procedure was done under local Anesthesia and 50 Cent is expected to be able to make a complete recovery in a relatively short period of time. Right now he’s being monitored . . . to make sure his colon doesn’t flare up.”

Kanye West proudly escorts Kim Kardashian to the launch of “True Reflection” at Debenhams on Oxford Street, in London, UK on May 18.
The “Gold Digger” rapper beams with pride as he support his lady love, as she promotes her new fragrance and launches QuickTrim at the department store.
Meanwhile, Kanye has announced plans to screen his new short art film Cruel Summer.
The film which promises “a fusion of short film and art installation” and an “immersive seven-screen experience, will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 23. Visit Cruel Summer website for tickets.
Kanye kicks off the UK leg of his joint tour with Jay-Z tonight May 18 at London’s O2 Arena, and of course KimK will be there to support her longtime beau!
Tia Mowry Hardict, Pooch Hall to leave BET series while Rocsi & Terrence J Not leaving 106 & Park
Looks like a big shake-up is on the horizon at BET?!
First up, Tia Mowry will not be in the hit series The Game next season. The actress shared the news via Twitter. “Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6. It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun,” she tweeted.
BET confirmed today that both Tia and her co-star Pooch Hall will not be returning to the show. Pooch will be doing a Showtime pilot “Ray Donovan.”
Next up, Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz of “106 & Park.”
According to the New York Post, the VJs want to leave the network in order to pursue their acting careers. But the folks over at GlobalGrind said that although the duo “are in the last year of their contract, they are not leaving the show.”
Neither Rocsi nor Terrence J have commented on the rumors.

For the interview, the 47-yr-old host of ’The Wendy Williams Show’ dished on why she’s so open about her plastic surgery.
“I’m open about it. But the downside of it is that for women who get it and think it’s a one-time thing, you always have to have your money ready for your corrective surgery. Particularly with breast implants. It’s like wheels on a tire. Even if your tire never pops and even if you never get a bubble, even if you have no reason to replace them, you should because the treads thin and when the treads thin you can get a blow-out. I’m trying to change my habits right now and start sleeping on my back, because if you wake up with a deflated breast, you now have to have the same $7,000 to replace them.”

Disco Legend Donna Summer Dies, aged 63

Donna Summer died today May 17 after a battle with cancer. She was 63.
The Disco legend known for hits in the 1970s and 1980s like “Last Dance,” “She Works Hard for the Money” and “Bad Girls,” died this morning in Florida, TMZ reports.
“Sources close to Summer tell us … the singer was trying to keep the extent of her illness under wraps. We spoke to someone who was with Summer a couple of weeks ago … who says she didn’t seem too bad.”
The Grammy-winning singer is survived by her husband, three daughters, and four grandchildren.
